The pair folds back on a 1016 mm rail instead of sweeping into the room, so it suits openings where a swing door would collide with fixtures. The finished door measures 914 x 2134 mm and is 30 mm thick. Each leaf is 457 mm wide, so the two panels fold to roughly half the closed width and stack clear of the doorway. The fold action changes what the door can do in a tight floor plan. A sliding barn door needs clear wall beside the opening equal to its own width. This bifold folds instead, so the rail stays close to the opening. The closed pair reads as one continuous full-length mirror, which removes the need for a separate dressing mirror on an adjacent wall. Hangers carry the load on the top rail while a floor guide holds the leading stile on line, controlling sway across a 2134 mm height.
