Description
Model M00081 is an oak rolling ladder made for rooms where the ladder is seen as much as it is used. The stiles are 89 x 25 mm oak with a large radius worked along the edge, the treads are oak with the same rounded long edge, and a black 16 mm tube handrail runs up one side. Treads are fitted on pre-embedded nuts rather than screwed straight into end grain, which is the detail that decides whether a timber ladder stays tight after a few years of use. A 16 x 1.0 mm black tube handrail gives a hand hold on the climb, which matters on the taller sizes and in public-facing rooms. Stiles and treads carry a large radius on the long edge, so there is no sharp arris where hands and legs make contact. Treads seat on pre-embedded nuts instead of screws driven into end grain, so the joint does not loosen as the timber moves. Oak stiles and oak treads in natural finish, chosen where the ladder has to match joinery rather than disappear into a workshop. The black tube handrail is carried on brackets bolted through the stile. It runs the working length of the ladder rather than stopping short at the top tread. Twin roller hangers mount to the head of each stile so the ladder rolls along the rail and can be lifted off when the room needs clearing. Reaches the top shelf of a full-height run and rolls aside so the whole wall stays accessible. Gives a fixed climb to a raised floor or storage deck without the floor area a staircase would take.
